Shelby County Deputies were called to Highway 305 and Highway 25 in Columbiana, according to WSFA. The girl was airlifted to a children’s hospital for treatment but her current condition is unknown. Besides losing her hand, the girl also reportedly sustained severe injuries to her arm. The dog, whose breed is not known at this stage, was taken to a vet to be tested for rabies, WSFA reported.
