JustAMinx rose to the top of the Twitch charts on the back of popular gaming and Just Chatting streams. Earlier this year, JustAMinx was invited to join OpTic Gaming as a content creator. Following the signing, JustAMinx stayed in a content creator house with three other members of the OpTic Gaming team.

The current situation that resulted in the Airbnb ban came about after JustAMinx was given 24 hours to leave the OpTic Gaming house she was staying in. Suddenly without a place to stay, JustAMinx relied on Airbnb for temporary lodging. That was when the men allegedly attempted to break into her house, leading to her cats running away, and local police finding drugs underneath the home. Both of the cats have since recovered and are healthy.
JustAMinx is currently looking for a new place to live, made more difficult by the Airbnb ban preventing her from making any bookings in a 300km (186 miles) radius. Being banned from a popular app is not a new occurrence for JustAMinx, as the streamer was banned from TikTok for a month, though she insists that she is fighting the ban. Airbnb has not publicly provided a reason for the ban, and the length of the ban has also not been stated by the company. Typical Airbnb bans can range from five days to a few weeks, though like Twitch, Airbnb does not publicly cite the reasoning behind a ban.
Fans have been publicly supporting the streamer since early September, when JustAMinx documented her recovery from surgery on Twitch. Other streamers, notably Amouranth, have publicly expressed support for JustAMinx’s current housing situation. Fans have continued to respond on all of JustAMinx’s social media platforms with an outpouring of support for the streamer. After expressing gratitude that she is safe, the next most common fan sentiment is confusion over Airbnb seemingly punishing someone for an incident outside their control.
